To connect residents of Flint and Genesee County with resources in the areas of health, education, and family development.
In 2017 The Master's Touch CDC established a partnership with Health Alliance Plan (HAP) which resulted in Macedonia MBC as the only "Boots for Kids" distribution site in Flint and Genesee County. Since then, the Master's Touch has distributed over 500 pair of new and warm winter boots for children in need in the Beecher Community, City of Flint and Genesee County at-large. With the support of Macedonia MBC and its congregation, individual donors and our many community partners are able to provide a meal and share community resources with the families who come to the annual Boots for Kids event.
The purpose of this event is to promote and increase community awareness of health issues and resources available in the community for seniors and/or caregivers. Our event has helped over 400 seniors annually across Genesee County. We have partnered with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church who has been at the forefront of social change and community service. We understand the value of supplying our seniors as well as those that love and care for them, with resources and information to assist with whatever challenges present themselves during the latter stages of life. With that in mind, SENIOR LOVE DAY was created.
In a continued effort to strengthen our bond in our community, we have hosted the annual COMMUNITY LOVE DAY. The purpose of this event is to promote and increase community awareness of health issues and resources available in the community. Our event has helped over 400 individuals annually across Genesee County. We have partnered with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church who has been at the forefront of social change and community service. Together, we have made a concerted effort to equip the community in living a healthier lifestyle. With your assistance and presence, we will continue to have one of the best community events the residents of Genesee County has ever witnessed.
